Hi!
Welcome to Audiogazing #1. Audiogazing offers you monthly audio recommendations by astrological season.
💜 Credits are featured at the end of this issue, as always. However, there is someone I cannot wait to thank: Holly Brown, for coming up with the name for this. I am in awe of everything you do.
Thank you for being here. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.
Audiogazing
Audiogazing is a subsection of Shreya’s Audio Affairs that will:
Feature audio recommendations for everyone for a zodiac season.
Feature audio recommendations for the zodiac who’s season it is.
Appear in your inboxes once a month.
🌟 I’m creating Audiogazing because I enjoy astrology, I enjoy audio, and I wanted to do something fun at their intersection. I could write essays about being an engineer, a hardcore physics nerd, and having to explain my love for astrology. Perhaps, someday I will.
Today is not that day.
Today is simply the day I say that no matter what I believe in, I believe in the stars. Be it through cosmology or astrology.
♈ Podcasts for Aries Season
Seeing as how Aries season kicked off on March 21, my podcast recommendations are coming in a little late. But, this is the first time I’m doing this so I hope you’ll be patient with me. The recommendations for Taurus season will arrive earlier.
The Aries season, much like its fiery ruler, has been characterized by the need to do more and be more. With adrenaline pumping in our veins and dreams in our eyes, we’re on our way to creating a reality we’ve long dreamed of. While we need that fire under our behinds, it can leave us feeling jittery, stuck, and isolated.
With that in mind, here are our four podcasts (and a few songs) for Aries season.

Step into your power
Unlocking Us with Brené Brown: Brené with Emmanuel Acho on Being Illogical
This Aries season calls for sovereignty through trust in yourself and a little bit of insanity. In this episode, Brené talks to Emmanuel about being illogical and yet, true to yourself in big and small ways. Listen here to step into your power. (This opens to a Spotify link instead of a pod.link because Brené was exclusive to Spotify back then).
Episode length: 1 hour 2 minutes
Find the joy in community
The 11th: The Happiness Project
Ceaselessly charging on ahead can sometimes leave us feeling alone. This episode of The 11th reminds us that the tuning into the community around us can be a musical experience. Literally. Charles Spearin actually makes music out of the voices of his neighbors. Listen here, and consider listening with your friends.
Episode length: 33 minutes 26 seconds
Fight the jitters
The Slowdown: If There Is Another World
Whoo boy, can this season give you the jitters. The start of new things, the promise of something big on the horizon. A LOT is happening in too short a duration. Malena Möling’s poem about a parallel universe that seems so close and yet so far transports us to another land. It pulls you in with whimsy and leaves you feeling light. Listen here with your eyes closed and dare to slowdown, won’t you?
Episode length: 7 minutes 34 seconds
Balance, not burnout
Ten Percent Happier: For the burned out, fried, and exhausted
With a fire sign as its ruler, this can be a mighty fiery season. When we’re firing on all engines and speeding through spacetime, it’s all fun and games till that first wave of burnout hits. Emily and Amelia Nagoski, authors of the lifesaver and bestseller Burnout, talk about how to avoid being exhausted. Listen here to receive actual tips on hacking the stress cycle.
Episode length: 1 hour 13 minutes

It’s okay, let the people in
Poetry Unbound: Rumi – You wake the dead to life
I reserved my favourite episode on this playlist for you. To tell you that it’s okay to find gratitude in those around you: the friends, the family, the colleagues, and the community that wants to see you rise to impossible heights. You deserve them. Listen here to remember and meditate on those who exalt you.
Episode length: 15 minutes 11 seconds
Manifestus maximus
Manifest: Opening Your Energy Field to Manifest More
Okay, I know that this one sounds a little woowoo but it really does the trick, if you dare to lean in. Sarah Prout takes us on a journey to clear some blockages and allow that gorgeous manifestation energy to flow through us. Listen here, pretty please?
Episode length: 27 minutes 28 seconds
(If this one’s too long for you, start with this 4-minute manifestation instead).
Boost your creativity
Not Alone: (Un)inspired – How to Lead a Creative Life
Feeling stuck is the absolute worst, especially if you’re an Aries and you’re constantly seeking those wins. Model turned podcaster Valeria makes it seem less isolating and more manageable. Listen here for validations and solutions.
Episode length: 26 minutes 26 seconds
Go with the gosh darn flow
The Best Advice Show: Move Through the Day Like an Octopus and Three Other Provocations
I am not a big fan of being told when to go with the flow BUT I am a big fan of humming. And that’s what this whole episode is about. Humming through the day so you can move like an octopus. Listen here and watch out for all those times you could have been humming instead.
Episode length: 22 minutes 4 seconds

Credits
Holly Brown, for coming up with the name Audiogazing.
The podcast Skyline Drive, for being the singular inspiration behind this concept.
SR for designing the logo, despite having the sniffles.
Beatriz Nour, creator of the inbetweenish podcast. That cafe you introduced me to help me finally find enough peace to write this issue.
Diane Ackerman’s poetry, especially We are listening, that is helping me calm my jitters during Aries season.
P.S. - I need your help.
I am no more than an amateur astrology enthusiast and I’d love to collaborate with a professional. I am looking for pros that can do the season’s chart readings for me so I can do the podcast research part. Know anyone?
Such a unique niche. I love where ur going with this. Can't wait to hear what you come up with for my sign.
Love this! I helped our lead for Astrology Club, which also did astro - podcast recommendations back when I was at Spotify. Looking forward to following this!
As for an astrologer, I've seen Bruna Maia before and she is great. I'm not sure about her podcast knowledge, but would be happy to make an intro. https://www.brunamaia.com . Just email me at hello@unofficialsocialchair.com to provide more details.
